I work as a Learning Design Specialist for Canada Revenue Agency in Ottawa, Ontario. I specialize in e-learning and would like to learn more about how emerging technology, such as games and simulation, can help us teach abstract concepts like taxes and legislation. I'd also be interested in learning about new approaches to testing. I'd say I'm an intermediate learner because I've been involved in this work for about 5 years but I have lots to learn.
From a sociological standpoint I'd also like to learn more about how technology affects popular concepts of work because I think that links somehow to learner motivation. But maybe that's a coffee break conversation!
